A chocolastic post- Celebrating chocolate week with plenty of ideas!

by Sunita on October 14, 2009

The weather is rapidly cooling down in our neck of the woods and there is  a chill in the air.  All around, autumnal colours are in full glory. Nice to look around and take a deep breath. Yes, someone has so rightly said, “autumn is a second spring, where every leaf is a flower”.

Now, starting from the 12th of this month, it is chocolate week in the UK. Chocolate Week is a time of pure indulgence involving the country’s best chocolatiers and chocolate shops holding events all over the UK.

Me, well I’m a chocoholic through and through. I do not need a special week to celebrate chocolate; I can do it any day, any time! The number of chocolate recipes that have been posted on my blog till now, says it all, I guess. This very thought made me think of rounding up all the recipes with chocolate that have graced my blog till now.

Warning – Serious temptations ahead! Proceed at your own risk :-)

Hi Sunita, this is related to your previous post of the ‘Macadamia, wholewheat sponge with coconut and chocolate’ (leave comment in that page is not working). Did you buy a ready made macadamia powder or did you roast the nuts and made it in to powder. Can we replace macadamia powder with any flour. Please let me know. Thanks.

Usha, firstly, thanks for letting me know about the comment form, it’s been fixed now.

Regarding your querry, i ground the nuts at home, without toasting them. You can use other nuts too. Before grinding, add a little sugar with the nuts, and do it in short bursts, so that it does not turn into nut butter.

Oh delicious, but what to choose??
Which one is your favourite from these beauties Sunita?

Reply

26 Sunita October 16, 2009 at 11:55 am

Hmm, that would be hard; I actually love all of them ;-) , but if i had to choose, probably it would be the french yule log. It was very labour intensive, but the end result was simply superb, I was very proud of myself :-)
