A birthday cake and a new venture

by Sunita on June 29, 2010

It was was one of our dear friends’ daughter’s 11th birthday and yours truly offered to bake the cake. Yes, I never miss a chance to bake. And I also love to decorate cakes. The usual ones in the house are not that ornamental, so I wait for special occasions to do what I actually enjoy doing, decorating cakes.

This was a last minute offer, but I enjoyed doing it, and as everyone, especially the birthday girl seemed to be rather pleased by it, I had no regrets.

The young lady, came up to me and mentioned how that was probably the best tasting birthday cake she ever had! She certainly knows how to humour a middle aged lady ;-)

A slice of the birthday cake; not a great picture, but the most that I could do at someone else’s house :-) It was a vanilla flavoured cake ( as per the birthday girl’s request) with whipped cream icing.

On another note, if any of you are looking to customise your blogs ( Blogger/Wordpress), you know, give it a fresh new look, we might be able to help. We have launched our blog designing service called Kolsy Solutions, which offers reasonable packages for blogs. It is something which has been on my mind for a while now, so am really glad that I finally decided to give it a go. Check it out and if there’s anything that catches your fancy, get in touch and we will be glad to help you spruce up your blog and give it a whole new look!

Take care and I’ll see you soon!
